Join the Bear's Den!
The Bear's Den is our social network for accepted students. You will receive a login and password to access the site shortly after your acceptance to Mercer. Sign on to meet your future classmates, find out what's going on around campus, chat with student leaders, and even find a roommate!
Enrollment Deposit
An enrollment deposit of $300 is required to reserve your place at Mercer University. In the event a student's plans for enrollment change, the deposit is refundable provided that a written request is received by the Office of University Admissions by May 1. Enrollment deposits that are on file on May 1, or made after this date, are considered non-refundable.
Orientation Registration and Academic Profile
Registration to select your preferred Summer Orientation date will be available soon! Make sure you save the date for one of the following Summer Orientation 2012 days: June 15, 18, 22, or 25. Space is limited for each session and once the maximum capacity has been reached, that date will no longer be available. When you log on, you will be taken through a series of questions, known as the Online Academic Profile, which will assist us in creating your fall semester schedule. Financial Planning / Scholarships
Qualified students will receive academic scholarship notification from the Office of University Admissions. Families are encouraged to complete and file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Beginning in late December, the University will send admitted students a financial planning packet containing the FAFSA and other forms needed to apply for financial assistance. You may submit the FAFSA and other forms online, as well as find access to outside scholarship opportunities. More.>>
Campus Housing
Beginning in February, students may begin to apply online for campus housing. Residence hall assignments are made based on the date the enrollment deposit and the completed housing contract are received by the University. An early deposit ensures the best campus housing selection available to new students.
Students whose permanent address is outside of the metropolitan Macon area are required to live on campus during their freshman, sophomore, and junior years. Exceptions are made for married students, veterans, and students over the age of 21.Visit the Office of Housing and Residence Life for information.
