Submit your $500 enrollment deposit online or by mail. Your deposit secures your spot in Mercer University’s incoming class as well as your placement for housing assignments and priority registration. (Your enrollment deposit is fully refundable until May 1, 2014.)
Access MyMercer Account
Access your MyMercer Account at my.mercer.edu with the login information provided in your enrollment package and via email from Mercer’s Information Technology Help Desk. You will use this account to view your financial aid package, complete your housing contract, pay your bills, and add authorized payers (such as your parents). Your bill and authorized payer information are located under â€œMy Billâ€ in your account.

The Bear's Den is our Facebook group exclusively for accepted students. You will receive access to the site via email after your acceptance to Mercer. Get to know future fellow Mercerians, meet current Mercer students, ask questions, find a roommate, and more.
Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Submit your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), available at fafsa.ed.gov. Complete your FAFSA as early as possible to be considered for every type of financial assistance available. Submit your FAFSA before March 1 for priority consideration. Any submissions received after that date will be considered only as funds remain available. Mercer’s federal school code is 001580.
Schedule a Financial Planning Meeting with an Admissions Counselor
Schedule a financial planning meeting with your admissions counselor. When you receive your financial aid package in the mail, contact your admissions counselor to set up a time to review your package in detail, either in person or via phone. Your counselor will discuss any questions that you may have and help guide you through your financial planning process.
Complete Housing Contract
Complete your housing contract through your MyMercer account at my.mercer.edu, available March 1. Under the â€œResidence Life/Housingâ€ section, select â€œHousing Information,â€ then select â€œHousing Contracts,â€ then choose â€œNew Incoming Freshmenâ€ to access the contract. Housing assignments are made based on the dates your enrollment deposit and completed housing contract are received by Mercer. The housing contract priority deadline is June 13, but complete the contract as early as possible for the best available options.
Complete Online Academic Profile (OAP) and Register for Summer Orientation
Complete your Online Academic Profile (OAP) and register for Summer Orientation, available April 1. If you have submitted your deposit, you will receive an email notification to complete your OAP and register for your selected Summer Orientation date. Space is limited for each of the sessions: June 13, June 16, June 18, June 20, and June 23. When you access the registration form, you will first complete a series of questions to create your OAP, which will assist your academic advisor in building your fall semester course schedule. Attend Make It Mercer
Attend Make It Mercer on Saturday, April 12. Exclusively for accepted students and their families, Make It Mercer is your opportunity to meet other new Mercerians, hear from Mercer’s President and other special guests, have your questions answered by current Mercer students, meet potential roommates, and receive your Mercer ID: the BearCard. The event culminates with BearStock 2014, Mercer’s annual free music festival in the park.
Submit Official Final High School Transcript
Submit your official final high school transcript by July 31. A transcript request form is available for you to provide to your high school counselor.
Complete Immunization Form
Complete your Immunization Form, and return it to the Mercer University Student Health Center by July 31. Failure to submit this required form before classes begin may result in removal from classes.
Complete Health Insurance Waiver
Complete your Health Insurance Waiver by July 31, if you choose to waive Mercer’s automatic student health insurance coverage. All Mercer students are required to have health insurance, and students are billed each semester for the cost of this coverage. If you already have coverage under another policy, you must complete the online waiver prior to the deadline, or you will be responsible for the payment. This process must be completed prior to the beginning of each term you are enrolled at Mercer.
Pay Account Balance by Opening Day
Pay your account balance by Opening Day, August 16. Bills will be sent electronically to your MyMercer account beginning 30 days prior to the start of the semester (approximately July 15 for fall semester). You must be registered for classes in order to receive your bill. You will receive an email notification when a change is made to your account. Information about payment plans will be provided with your financial aid package.
Complete the Student Records Release Authorization Form
Complete the Student Records Release Authorization Form by Opening Day, August 16, if you wish to grant permission for Mercer to release academic or financial information to any specified individuals (such as your parents). It is Mercer’s official policy that only limited information determined by the University as â€œdirectory informationâ€ may be released without this form on file.
Move into your new campus home! Fall semester Opening Day is Saturday, August 16, which marks the first day of Bear Beginnings Fall Orientation. The first day of classes is Tuesday, August 19.
