Ray discovered his passion for university admissions as an undergraduate student, when he worked as a campus tour guide for all four years (and three summers)! He has now served private liberal arts institutions for over 30 years, leaving for three years to work in the student loan industry. Currently in his 9th year at Mercer, Ray enjoys helping students make that very important life decision - where to spend their college years.
His work at Mercer as Assistant Vice President and Director of Admissions keeps him busy – from freshmen and transfers to international student admissions. However, the “tour guide” is still around! He will take time to give you a “nickel tour” of Macon, if you’ll let him! Make sure you also check out his Coca-Cola bottles and memorabilia collection.
